Welcome to the new version of Miami-Dade County's website. We'd love your feedback. While we're at work, you may be directed to miamidade.gov, which is still your primary source for information.

Meals on Wheels

Meals are offered to seniors in need of meal assistance and unable to eat without assistance due to a limited mobility with meal preparation. Eligible participants receive seven frozen meals each week, along with fresh fruit, milk and other food items. The free meals are delivered between the hours of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on weekdays.

Meals are also served to those who are not homebound. There are 22 meal sites in various locations throughout Miami-Dade County. Preference will be given to low-income older individuals, including low-income minority older individuals, older individuals with limited English proficiency, and older individuals residing in rural areas. Eligible participants receive daily nutritionally balanced hot meals, nutrition education, counseling, transportation, and a wide variety of educational, cultural, recreational activities and health-wellness services. The free meals are served Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
